The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. a scenic path above chamonix offering impressive views of the north face of the mont blanc massive, from the left aiguille verte, le grand jorasses in the center, aiguille de grand charmoz ( or aiguilles du chamonix if I identified them correctly); I liked the water in the foreground but it was a little too windy for good reflections.
