Predawn in Kintamani Bali overlooking a valley desa (village) cloaked in morning fog, while on the horizon the magnificent profile of Gunung Rinjani stands tall. While this is the tropics, this mountain region is around 1500m above sea level and can get fairly chilly midyear. Gunung Rinjani located on Lombok Island around 100km away and is Indonesia's second highest volcano at 3700m.
I visited this spot 4 times over a couple of weeks to finally catch this shot which contrasts the dreamy fog
