Artist's Description

These long-tongued bats swoop in and slurp the nectar from the flower and I wanted to capture the moment with the tongue out drinking with the pollen bursting out. I needed high speed flash and enough depth of field to get both the flower and bat in focus. This happens all so fast, so I used an infra red trigger and two flashes set to a sixteenth power then had to hide and wait. Look closely and you see the pollen.
