Six black and white panels combine to create a fragmented view of a scene that includes a pathway flanked by water. At the focal point in the upper panels, a lone figure appears to be walking along the path, providing a sense of scale and leading the eye through the disjointed landscape. Shadows and the play of light across different surfaces add depth to the image, while the structural lines offer a geometric contrast to the organic shape of the human form.
