This was taken at Maltby market in London, just before Christmas. I was using a wide angle at waist height to get a better angle and capture more of the character of the market. I liked the cherubic baby on his mother's hip, against the harsh brickwork of the railway arches. To me it represents a typical street market scene and conveys a mother and child in a busy market, with the baby looking around, fascinated by all the goings on, the noise, colours and vibrance of the bustling Saturday m
