Most people go to Yuanyang (China) to photograph the sculptures of rice terraces. I was too. But on that foggy morning I also looked around for signs of life including human dwellings. The village was starting to wake up, while the golden mist was meandering around the houses on the upper terrace. I imagine that in these there must be the farmers who cultivated the rice terraces (below the houses) generation after generation. In today's industrialization when most young people tend to leave the
