I read an article on lightpainting a week ago in which they used a book set up in a similar fashion to this. I have wanted to try the 'heart in a book' type of image for a while and Valentine's day was my inspiration for this shot. I used my ipad behind the pages as the light source, set to a solid red light, to create the heart shapes. This was the second shot that I created using the lightpainting technique
