Artist's Description

This is on Lake Akan on Hokkaido close to Kushiro. The lake was frozen and it was cold winter weather with snow. Ice fishing sounds adventerous to me, but on Lake Akan there were little tents which could be rented for a certain time, with a hole in front and two little stools, and in the big tents you could heat up and get some tea.
