Artist's Description

It was a cold, windy, and overcast day. We made our second visit to this remote place in the Southwest in order to make further exploration of the otherworldly canyon-scape. An unexpected late afternoon snow storm suddenly approached while we were scouting the Grand Vista area. We had to back out to the paved road before it's too late because the muddy road would make any vehicle impassible when wet.
