Bull jumping event.
This selection of 9 monochrome photos is ment to be seen as a documentary series.
The hamar or hammer inhabit the territory east of the Omo River in Soutern Ethiopia.
They are cattle herders and practice agriculture.
The traditional bull jumping is a rite of passage for men coming of age. The event lasts three days. The man must jump over a line of 10 to 30 bulls four times completely nude. If this task is completed succesfully, the man gets the maza status. During th
