Several rowboats are tethered along a wooden jetty, floating peacefully on the glassy, reflective surface of a tranquil lake. The scene is captured in black and white, which highlights the contrasting textures of the smooth water and the rough, forested hills mirrored in it. The calmness of the water suggests an early morning or late evening setting, devoid of ripples that daytime activities would typically generate.
