Artist's Description

New York, Manhattan, 1989. Warm August afternoon, summer rain. Self covered by an umbrella I could make some umbrella shots - shelter in the rain - and life... . The picture is part of my series "New York Blues".I wanted to translate the unique atmosphere of this unique city into colour. I used an artificial light film in the daylight. This generated this monochrome blue.
