Imagine you are on a spaceship traveling at light speed, and you have flown for 2.5 million years and you look back over your shoulder. This would be how our Milky Way Galaxy looks like.
This is a high resolution mosaic of 4 panels of images taken with Astro-Physics "StarFire" 130mm Apochromatic refractor on Mach 1 mount, at a remote mountain top observatory. It's 8 hours of data collected using LRGB filters. Majority of the processing is done in PixInsight. And finalized in Photos
