Artist's Description

This is a scene from the last big snow of the winter of 2013-2014. We had an especially heavy, but wind free snowfall, eventually reaching knee height. The mid-February flakes were very dry and granular, all of which resulted in the creation of very neat geometric snow shapes. I removed the screen from an upstairs window, leaning out over our patio to capture this one. I like the contrast of the pyramid shapes on the chairs to the funnel shape on top of the glass table, and the clock hand arran
