Artist's Description

The family of weevils is the largest group (about 60 000 species, more than all the species of vertebrates combined) and most advanced Coleoptera.
Weevils are identified by their rostrum, more or less long, at whose end is their mouth. The mouthparts, grinder type are difficult to see; mandibles are only visible in general; they allow the animal to eat away the surface of plants, wood and seeds.
